Exhibition in the Bishops' Prison in Saint Jean Pied de Port

Inauguration Friday 7 October 2016 at 6.30 p.m.

Born in Germany, Barbara Stammel studied at the School of Fine Arts in Munich, and later in Barcelona. For the past 20 years, she has lived and worked in Getaria (Gipuzkoa). Using oils on canvas and paper and painting with brushes and sometimes with her hands, she creates giant effigies of faces in the Expressionist style whose appearance ranges from friendly to hostile.

Exhibition open every day except Tuesday, from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
